The environment as a strategy of development

Gonvarri Industrial is committed to a strategy of development that integrates environmental stewardship in all its activities, products and services. We recognize that preserving our natural surroundings is an essential condition for the sustainable economic development of the areas in which the company is involved and adds added value to our commitment to our clients.

In addition to merely complying with indispensable legal requirements, we take environmental stewardship into account in the design of our new facilities and in the optimisation of already existing ones. This approach is aimed at minimising the consumption of raw and auxiliary materials, optimising energy use, treating and reusing wastewater from our processes, reducing waste, and promoting waste recycling.

As a result of this conviction, our Environmental Policy includes our commitment to continuous improvement through innovation and participation, and directs it at its products and processes.
Based on this policy, each of the Group's plants instils a managerial system from start-up that complies with the UNE-EN ISO 14,001:2004 Standard which acts as framework for the development of all our activities.
