1972 Growth
The success of this
first industrial project laid the foundations for the future
growth of the Group. In 1972 it consolidates its position as
one of the main Spanish centres through the acquisition
of 50% of HIASA, an Asturias-based company.
This move, along with the establishment of
FERRODISA in Sagunto (Valencia) in 1978, gives Gonvarri
a prominent presence in the whole of the Spanish territory.
To finalise the consolidation of Gonvarri's leadership in
the Spanish market, Gonvarri establishes a new Service
Centre in BARCELONA in 1982, which is currently one of
the largest in the Group.
