Road Safety Equipment

Grupo Gonvarri, through Hiasa, develops the latest technologies in the road safety field, integrating in the same plant all of the manufacturing processes for safety barriers and accessories, thus guaranteeing strict compliance with European standards (EN 1317).

Our extensive facilities maintain high stock levels of safety barriers. Moreover, the versatility of the product enables us to incorporate accessories such as signposts, signs, signal gantries, slats, etc., all of which are made to measure and delivered in short lead times.

Tracc
Among the activities devoted to road safety, our production of the TRACC Crash cushion is especially noteworthy. This is a system manufactured using hot-dipped galvanized steel that is designed to receive frontal and lateral impacts and that behaves as an energy-absorbing, directive non-gating barrier.

The Crash Attenuation Barrier consists of a set of diaphragms that slide along two guides situated at the base and anchored to the foundations. The head of the attenuation barrier is fitted with a blade that, during impact, cuts the two grooved plates that act as the guide whilst the lateral panels withdraw, absorbing the energy of the impact.
