Hot-Dip Galvanizing
Galvanizing involves coating the steel surface with cast zinc to protect it against corrosion. Zinc is the most widely used metal coating due to its ability to sacrifice itself to protect the base steel.
The hot dip process basically consists of
submerging the steel to be coated (parts that have already been transformed) into a tub
of melted zinc at 450ºC. Different zinc alloys can be used with other metals.
