Gonvarri Industries has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting its results and commitments in the environmental, social and governance areas. The information complies with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative and Law 11/2018, with independent verification by EY.
This year, Gonvarri has reinforced its Carbon Neutral Plan, increasing solar photovoltaic energy production in several factories, reaching 58% of electricity consumption from renewable sources and reducing direct emissions by 8% since 2022.
In occupational health and safety, they completed a year without serious accidents, investing £4.5 million in safety improvements. The integration of the Hidria group increased the workforce by 20%, reaching 19% women.
In corporate governance, the acquisition of Hidria strengthens its market position and opens up new opportunities. Gonvarri has also been recognised by EcoVadis and CDP for its performance in sustainability and climate change. With the new CSRD directive, Gonvarri will expand its sustainability reporting from 2025 onwards.
