Gonvarri Industries publishes the 2025 Sustainability Report.
Madrid, 13 May 2026 – Gonvarri Industries, a global leader in the transformation of flat steel and aluminum, presents its 2025 Sustainability Report. This report highlights the Group’s commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility within the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Gonvarri Industries has integrated Sustainability as one of the core pillars of its Strategic Plan, providing guidelines to drive the growth of its industrial activity. The company operates across four lines of action: environmental impact, labor relations and human rights, ethics, and the supply chain.
In the environmental dimension, it is worth highlighting this year that 86% of Gonvarri Industries’ plants are certified under the ISO 14001 standard. Regarding the circular economy, 14% of steel purchases are sourced from recycled material.
In the social dimension, more than 64,000 hours of training have been delivered in the area of Health and Safety and in 2025, the coverage of ISO 45001–certified plants reached 82% of the workforce. The main indicator of customer quality and satisfaction, measured by the number of non-conformities in ppm, has improved by 16% since the start of the Strategic Plan in 2022. In terms of community impact, 8 projects were promoted with an investment of €446,000. The company has also fostered corporate volunteering through the Juan XXIII Foundation, where a total of 160 volunteers accompanied the Foundation’s beneficiaries during a recreational activity.
In the Corporate Governance dimension, Gonvarri Industries demonstrates transparency by annually assessing its sustainability performance through the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating, where it ranks among the top 5% of companies, having been awarded the Gold Medal for its high sustainability standards. The company also reports its results to CDP, achieving a “B” rating—the second-highest score—thereby demonstrating responsibility and commitment to climate change and good corporate practices.
