For this reason, since 2013, these relationships have been analysed and updated to improve coverage, gain a better understanding of stakeholders\u2019 expectations, and tailor the content of the Report to their main requirements in the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) areas.<\/p><p>Gonvarri Industries has specific communication channels for each identified stakeholder group. Communication is two-way and does not follow a set frequency, as the requirements of each stakeholder group differ.<\/p><p>Given that Gonvarri Industries\u2019 products represent an intermediate stage in the final product\u2019s value chain, external perception and media presence are low. The latest materiality assessment was carried out in 2022. The methodology combines an internal and external perspective, incorporating consultations with key stakeholders.<\/p><p>In 2024, the process of adapting to the CSRD began through a dual materiality analysis, which will be incorporated in future financial years.<\/p><p>To carry this out, both an internal (management) and external perspective are combined. In the first phase, internal sources (policies, strategy, commitments, etc.) and external sources (news, benchmarking of competitors and key customers, market trends in CSR and sector-specific trends, new legal requirements, etc.) are consulted. Based on this, the most relevant issues and those likely to have the greatest impact on the company are assessed.<\/p><p>All this information is grouped into 25 questions within the ESG framework. Each question asks about the relevance of each issue and about the perception of Gonvarri Industries\u2019 commitment and performance on each issue.<\/p><p>The survey is sent out and processed by an external company, which guarantees the independence and transparency of the results. As previously indicated, the survey is conducted amongst management and employees, as well as a selection of key customers and suppliers, as these are the most relevant stakeholders. Management is also consulted on the maturity of these issues within the company, given their capacity to influence them.<\/p><p>This process enables us to identify the environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues most relevant to Gonvarri Industries and its stakeholders.<\/p><p>Internal and external coverage<\/p><p>A total of 2,835 surveys were sent to management, employees, customers and suppliers, with an average response rate of 51% across all groups. The results show that:<\/p><ul><li>For internal stakeholders, having an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy is considered material (in addition to the above).<\/li><li>For external stakeholders, it is considered material (in addition to the above) to have a policy and due diligence procedure regarding \u201cHuman Rights\u201d and to improve the company\u2019s communication and efficiency through digitalisation.<\/li><\/ul><p>All material topics reported are identified in the GRI content index and in each section of the corresponding report.<\/p><p>The study also measures the internal and external perceptions that stakeholders have of Gonvarri Industries\u2019 approach to and handling of the issues surveyed.<\/p><p>For internal stakeholders, a high level of perceived importance is shown in the following areas: Carbon Neutral strategy, environmental management, health and safety, and cybersecurity and data protection.
